• Nina presented/reviewed Compiled Data (mostly done)
  • Compilation of structured data-points from 14 transcripts
  • Provided background that most interviews did follow a consistent structure, but that many also veered-off into probing unique curiosities that arose with each participant (which almost always happens), and that spreadsheet did not summarize any of those points—unless more than 1 participant touched on something.
  • Also made light mention of transitioning all transcripts from Wiki pages to a more secure format, with improved redaction.

  • Jen suggested presenting at a Code Review meeting, once Report is finalized & tight. Nina excitedly agreed.
  • Jen commented on 10:1 Noise/Signal ratio. Nina discussed, citing that ratio as one of the most consistent data points across newsrooms of all sizes/kinds. Went into further detail of Journalist workflow ritual. NOT MENTIONED: in-progress journey mapping of Journalist workflows. Will be further iterated on via phone convos with Bernard, and completed within a week or two. Wireframes, current priority.
    • Nina also mentioned how the above influenced idea for separate "Triage" and "Conversations" buckets, in primary Client app interface. Goal being, to separate established conversations Journalists need to keep eyes on, from the sloth of 10:1 incoming Spam/New Leads.
  • Jen question: Logging spreadsheets, what's that about? Made comment in GDoc. Nina explained; noted idea to be included in a wireframe iteration at some point. Mutual agreement that it could be a nifty post-Alpha feature to consider.
  • Jen question: Bit with multi-Diceware name conversation merging. Made comment in GDoc. Nina explained; noted idea's inclusion in recent wireframe seketches as Conversation Merge feature. Likewise mutual agreement, potentially nifty post-Alpha feature.
• Source Personas stuff not touched-upon, as meeting was small and we came-up on the 9:30 mark.
