Qubesclientresearch recruitment

Dear [ORG] SecureDrop team,

We are working on a new prototype user interface for SecureDrop, based on Qubes OS. The outcome of this work will be to combine the Journalist Workstation and Secure Viewing Station, using virtualization instead of an air-gap to protect sensitive submissions.

In order to meet our user’s needs, we are looking for news organizations who are willing to confidentially discuss their SecureDrop usage, specifically their SecureDrop workflow, with us.

You can find more information about the project here: http://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop-workstation

Our research efforts are led by Bernard Tyers, an experienced UX researcher [1] who is volunteering his time full-time through the month of May.

The research would be carried out remotely. Needless to say, all details of your SecureDrop install would remain private, and this information would only be used to inform our development work. If you are interested, we can share additional details about the process with you.

Would you be open to participating in this research effort? The approximate time commitment is 1 ½ - 2 hours per interview. We would ideally like to speak with both a journalist and an administrator.

Please let me know if you are open to participating. If so, I would suggest a short call to discuss the process. In any case, thank you for using SecureDrop!

Warmly,
