PowWow or Calendly or Erik email-yo-yo?
- PowWow has free version, but restricted to only 10 available slots—which semi-defeats the purpose of a scheduling utility.
- Calendly is less cute, not scrappy, and is a real company—but it integrates with GMail, GCal, and has an $8/mo plan I'd be happy to foot the bill for.
- When to target which studies?
- How many could we fit between now and Alpha? When is Code-Freeze for Alpha?
- How many between now and Beta? What is timeline likely to be for auditors, and is time being factored-in to allow for their changes before Beta?
-
Incentive: gift cards ($25 or $50 cards, standard)?

-
Only existing users have been recruited to date—why? Intentional?
- How much of FOP training is sought to guide use of software, vs OpSec principles?
- Participant base could be significantly larger, more diverse, and findings likely stronger, if we more broadly targeted investigative journalists
- Restriction of test participants in usability testing to existing product users is unusual; it wd help to understand goals better if this restriction is intentional.
- If this restriction is intentional, could past SD news orgs/users (such as folks at The Oregonian) be eligible?
-
If restriction to only existing SD users is not intentional...
- Harlo or other FOP journalists: where could we reach an audience to solicit study participants?
- Part of outreach wd equal "Have you ever heard of SD?" in seeder survey
- Would CPJ, RWB or other similar orgs, be willing to solicit their member base in a newsletter blurb?
