- The mentorship component of the program will match all interns 18+ with a mentor for 1-on-1 coaching sessions. Interns under 18 will receive mentoring from Hack for LA's Executive Director on an as needed basis. We had planned to offer mentorship for all interns, however, we have decided to wait until a background check process is in place. We have never had any complaints about the mentors or mentoring programs, and this is only being done out of an abundance of caution and to accommodate scaling the program and partnering with organizations with State and Federal funding.
