Meeting: Stand Up
A meeting kept short by everyone standing during the meeting where we do quick progress updates and identify blockers to talk about after the stand up.
“These questions highlight progress and help flag team blockers. Also, it strengthens the team when everyone shares the progress they’re contributing to the team. The daily reinforcement of sharing individual successes and plans keeps everyone excited about the team’s overall contribution to the organization.“ - Atlassian, Stand-ups for agile teams
The meetings are usually 15 min. Sometimes they can go up to 30 min and the longer it goes, the less people want to stand in a circle.
*Our meetings are conducted on Zoom, so we are usually sitting, but you get the idea.
We hold them 4 times a week. At a typical tech company, they are held daily during the M-F work week.
The Wiki is a working document and we would love to improve it. Please compile any questions and suggestions you may have and submit it via creating an issue.
