Project team round

Here we discuss topics that need broader attention, for example questions that came up but are outside a single project's scope, larger planned changes/PRs that affect all teams or pending work that is blocked by external factors.

1. Models / NESTML
   • refactoring of NESTML coming in due to JIT mechanism
2. PyNEST
   • #2211 server not available on mac
   • plan specialized python/install hackathon
3. Kernel
   • #2208 with many under-the-hood changes for modules refactoring (merge after release of 3.2)
   • clang-format changes in progress
4. Installation
   • couple of new issues, need to be assigned
5. Infrastructure
   • restructuring of Github-actions still in a non-pr state
   • automatic packaging like in NEST-Desktop is next steps
6. Documentation
   • model documentation on astrocytes and examples being extended
   • connecting to documentation of other projects
   • automatic link-checker (against 404's)
7. EBRAINS
   • automatic testing of jupyter notebooks becomes possible, please bring possible test-cases to our attention
8. (Feature) Automated Testing
   • no update (merge with infrastructure)
9. (Feature) Extension Module System
   • see kernel, no different updates
