Conor

Yesterday: Debugged a packaging regression affecting securedrop-client and securedrop-proxy. Tested the client integration branch! Started debugging a kernel template error; appears to be related to EFI-versus-legacy mode. Mickael investigating further.

Today: Writing the sd-svs-disp config package integration logic, then focusing on template RPM signing and hosting.

Blockers: None.

Erik

Yesterday:

Small client tweaks.

Reviewed Nina's pile of issues w/ her; agreed near-term UX priorities for now:

  • move prototype over to new design tool that supports animation
  • ensure we have all we need in the prototype for late November user testing
  • collaborate on beta feature specifications
  • take stab at visual design.

Continued hiring follow-up.

Today:

Continued hiring follow-up, now shifting gears to Senior Engineer position. Various non-SD tasks. Maybe more client polish if time allows.

Blockers:

None

Jen

Yesterday:

  • Got client-integration branch tested, just needs docs updating and then we are ready to merge it
  • Found and fixed a db migrations bug, so fixed and squashed all the migrations together (pulled in heartsucker's sqlalchemy conventions PR while I was at it)
  • Started work on https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop-client/issues/107 but I think I found a bug (in master)... will investigate more today

Today:

  • client release, new debs
  • fix docs, merge client-integration branch
  • put up PR for https://github.com/freedomofpress/securedrop-client/issues/107 and resolve my uncertainty re: potential bug
  • some pre-hackathon prep (e.g. the dev env is not super mac friendly and probably 90% of the peeps attending will use macs)
  • at some point, throw together some slides for aaron swartz day tomorrow

Blockers:

  • None

Mike

Yesterday: Got Weblate tested with Github (big thanks to redshiftzero!)

Today: RPM upload story

Blockers: Its friday
