Since we are now moving to blocking builds (i.e. the main build job waits until the deployment jobs are done) we might want to reconsider whether we want to use separate deployment jobs in the first place.
We initially introduced them to have a clear separation between build and deployment. (i.e. the build could still be successful even if the deployment failed). However, this means we have to main separate in-job Jenkins for each deployment job. This is quite a nightmare to maintain and leads to a lot of code duplication and over time the different Jenkinsfiles get out of sync.
I recommend to get rid of dedicated deployment jobs and instead a conditional deployment step in the in-repo Jenkinsfile.
