Describe the solution you'd like
We need create e2e tests to cover the new EKS functionality. This is to ensure that there are no regressions in functionality.

Anything else you would like to add:
Relates to #1534

Environment:

  • Cluster-api-provider-aws version: 0.5.5
  • Kubernetes version: (use kubectl version):
  • OS (e.g. from /etc/os-release):
