Overview

Create a sitemap to provide a birds-eye view of content and web pages that are linked to each other.

What is a Sitemap?

A sitemap is a hierarchical diagram that illustrates the structure of a website or application. Sitemaps are typically created at the beginning of the UX design process to identify where content will sit on a page, show how the navigation should be structured and show the relationship between different pages.

Action Items

  • Create a new Figma page and rename as "Sitemap"
  • Review and assess the website and decide on how to chunk content (i.e by sections)
  • Create a high-level site map of main pages on Figma
  • Create a new board for a detailed sitemap that would include content components
  • Create legend
  • Go through each page on the website and create a sitemap
  • Review and adjust content

Sitemap now reflects current website design. We would have to create a new issue to update sitemap as we roll out changes to the website
