What is the Civic Opportunity Project?

The Civic Opportunity Project seeks to create a curated journey process of professional development for non-traditional and underrepresented civic tech volunteers.

Why do it?

Our goal is to equip participants with the resources, exposure and toolsets to excel in a competitive workforce.

Guiding Objectives

• Creating a framework of opportunity, knowledge and guidance for otherwise excluded groups of individuals.
• Bringing diversity of representation and perspective to the technology sector.
• Documenting the experience process and ultimately providing an industry-wide software that can be streamlined, scaled and replicated.

Project One-Sheet

Keeping the One-Sheet up to date:

• The Project One Sheet should be revisited at least once quarterly and updated accordingly by the Product Manager
• Please ensure that all versions of the One Sheet are filed and saved in the Project Team Google Drive
