The recent fix (#1310) works perfectly fine when called directly from the CLI, however, there's an additional branch that is used when the CLI is used as the part of the build script configured and run within the XCode tool itself.
This PR covers this branch and unifies the rest of the builders to utilize the same helper for all cases.
Tested on 2 user-provided repro cases, both from the terminal and using XCode directly.
