How To: Manage Translations

Lydia Chang edited this page Nov 19, 2020 · 2 revisions

Nearly every piece of text on the 1-Click UI is translatable. These translations are controlled from the Translations page in the 1-Click Admin console.

Once inside the Translations page, you will see a full list of all text available for translations as well as the translations for every language supported by 1-Click.

To edit a translations, click on the language that you want to change and then update the text. In the example below, the English translation for Door-to-Door is being edited.

You can auto-translate a particular translation key to all locales using google translate. (Uses the english translation to translate the others. (I think you can change the default locale in the Rails config but not through the UI.)) (Button: Auto Translate) Alternatively, you can translate all the keys for a particular locale. (Button: Translate Keys for a Locale)

There is also an option to add new translation keys, however without a reciprocal reference to the key in the 1-Click traveler UI, the new key will not be used.
