This pull request adds LCD support using @ec1oud's excellent fork, which I found in qmk#720 (comment). @ec1oud's most relevant work towards LCD support can be found in 3fa9073.
I've slightly tweaked the visualizer code to change the flicker that appears on the welcome screen, and updated the welcome screen text to display something like:
