Per discussion in November 2019, the joint task force of the Web Authentication and Web Payments Working Groups seeks to produce two kinds of deliverables:

• Payments use cases, primarily as input to the Web Authentication Working Group
• Educational materials, primarily to help the payments industry with adoption of WebAuthn / FIDO for a variety of payments flows.

Proposals

• WebAuthN + Payment Request = Payment AuthZ. Relates to: transaction confirmation, 3DS.
• Combining Web Authentication and Payment Handler Initiation Gestures
• Dirk Balfanz proposal
