Feature proposal: Reorder snippets #92
Comments
Hello Klaus! I am not the dev here so I cannot speak as to whether he would like to incorporate a feature to handle this issue you are having, but I do have a solution for your issue. There are other apps available that add a feature called snippet expansion that would allow you to always have these logins on hand instead of having to dig through your clipboard history to paste the logins in to sign-in. For example, I use TextExpander to write a snippet that has my login information and whenever I press a keyboard combination, it will fill in that login information for me. For example, to login to my email account, I get to the login screen and then type This feature is much more likely to help you with keeping track of your login passwords than your clipboard is. Although another solution could be a password manager like 1Password that can store your login information in a secure location and allow you to autofill it from the password manager. Or you could use it as a library to look up your login information. This can also fix your issue and improve your security by using a password manager to store login information. |
Dear Sputnik, Cheers |
Thanks for wonderful jumpcut!
One thing, I could imagine improves user experience further is driven by the experience that a select few of pastes I do repeatedly. (e.g., login information).
Unfortunately, this tends to migrate then towards the end of the list. A simple, but effective approach would be that, if s.th. is used as a paste, it simply goes to the front of the list again.
What do you think?
Klaus
