Noticed and confirmed with https://video.test.tobira.ethz.ch/!v/BGM4AMLcgN9: The use of various icons/features results in the control elements not disappearing, additional action is required. But I see @ferserc1 is working on this ... |

Persists with https://polimediaupv.github.io/paella-skins/, if that's updated already. Activating/changing the subtitles prevents the control elements from disappearing. |

See commits. Note that #1284 hasn't been fixed completely, which is probably due to me not realizing the extent of the problem and subsequently only talking about the captions menu in polimediaupv/paella-core#372.

Usually, the playback bar will disappear automatically after a set amount of time (when the user isn't hovering over it).
When the captions are activated, this doesn't happen anymore. You need to click inside the playbar bar first to restore that behaviour.
This can be reproduced at https://paellaplayer.upv.es/#/demos/webvtt-captions.
