Masses with a different mass string may overflow, consider setting this custom to each mass:
masses-and-springs-overflow-1

It's also a bit weird how the entire gravity/damping node gets smaller, instead of parts of its components being more limited:
masses-and-springs-overflow-2

With stringTest=long, the number controls all overflow over things inside (overlapping):
masses-and-springs-overflow-3
masses-and-springs-overflow-4
