If we are at this point we have a route, the feeEstimation is only to show and in this case is less than a cent. Removing unneeded check that was causing to reject a valid route

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The changes in this pull request focus on the InitialView component within the src/components/Request/Pay/Views/Initial.view.tsx file. The primary modification is the simplification of the transaction fee estimation logic in the estimateTxFee function. The logic has been streamlined to directly set the transaction fee based on the formatted fee estimation, while retaining error handling for exceptions. The overall structure of the component, including its props and state management, remains unchanged.

137-139: Consider adding user feedback for extremely low fee cases

While the changes effectively allow routes with minimal fees, it might be beneficial to provide additional feedback to users when the estimated fee is extremely low (e.g., less than a cent). This could help prevent confusion and improve the user experience. Consider adding a conditional check to display an informational message or icon when the fee is below a certain threshold.

137-139: LGTM: Simplified fee estimation logic aligns with PR objective

The changes to the estimateTxFee function effectively simplify the logic by removing the conditional check for the fee estimation value. This modification aligns well with the PR objective to allow routes even if fees are less than a cent. The new implementation always clears errors, sets the transaction fee, and updates the view state to READY_TO_PAY, which should resolve the issue of rejecting valid routes with minimal fees.

137-139: LGTM: Well-focused changes addressing the specific issue

The modifications to the fee estimation logic are well-contained and focused on addressing the specific issue of rejecting valid routes with low fees. This targeted approach minimizes the risk of unintended side effects on other parts of the component, which is commendable. The rest of the component's functionality remains intact, maintaining overall stability.

137-139: Update and add test cases for new fee handling logic

With the simplified fee estimation logic, it's important to ensure that the test suite is updated accordingly. Consider the following:

  1. Update existing test cases that may have been affected by the removal of the fee threshold check.
  2. Add new test cases to cover edge cases, such as:
    • Extremely low fee estimations (e.g., less than a cent)
    • Zero fee estimations
    • Negative fee estimations (if possible in the system)

This will help maintain the robustness of the component and ensure that the new behavior is correctly implemented across various scenarios.
