My name is Michelle Shelton, but you can call me MJ. I'm a passionate and dedicated developer currently coding at Ahead as an Associate Technical Consultant. I'm in their Launch program, a career accelerator that teaches leadership and technical skills that leads to an impactful career in development.

My career started as a Project Manager (PMP) in television where I have 10 years of experience leading teams on multi-million dollar projects with such household names as Netflix, Apple, and Disney. Through my time, I frequently found myself in charge of IT management and eventually realized I enjoyed the technical work I was doing more than the production work. So I decided to turn my passion into a fulltime career and jumped into Northwestern University's Fullstack Coding Bootcamp. I currently work at Ahead, a consulting firm based out of Chicago, where I support diverse clients in their software engineering needs, including app modernization and cloud-native development.
