This issue lists six of the seven remaining packages I'd need in order to switch over from Chocolatey:
The remaining one is youtube-dl (the CLI, not youtube-dl-gui). |
@jnm2 we've created a tool to make it easier to add packages to the repository. Windows Package Manager Manifest Creator Several packages are currently blocked for submission due to being a .zip, a standalone .exe, or other unsupported scenario like no support for a "silent" install. Be sure to add your 👍 to the issues in the https://github.com/microsoft/winget-cli repository to help prioritize those features. |
Hope these packages can be in winget one day. |
how about going one farther.. first package that allows you to run envoy? #24284 |

This issue is closed. Does that mean that Apache Ant is already available through winget? |
@bcdavis-tc, The original author closed the issue. Many of these packages depend on:
The good news is that we are working on both of these as a part of Windows Package Manager 1.3 (in progress). |
@bdavis-tc I closed this issue preemptively because of the often necessary portable and zip support required for these packages. It's very likely that the composition of this list has changed over the past two years. I'll look into putting these updated lists into discussions once these features (and self-updating manifests with fixed links) have been added to provide parity. |
As an FYI, I've attempted to label Issues and PRs with either ".zip" or ".exe" to help locate them with queries here at GitHub. Once we roll 1.3 out, we should be able to support those PRs (once the manifests have been updated) and Issues. |
We've released Windows Package Manager 1.3 release candidate. Support for portable applications is included. Support for .zip has been pushed to Windows Package Manager 1.4 and is currently in progress.

Should I open a new issue for TrafficMonitor? (already mentioned in this list) |
Hi, I still use chocolatey for a lot of the packages above mentioned Why is the ticket closed? |
The original author closed this issue. Terraform will be added once this PR gets merged For other ones, I suggest to open separate issues as package requests to track them easily. |

Hi, for
Instead I see a BAT file on the official website: https://leiningen.org/#install |
This is primarily a tracking issue for myself with the intent to add packages not yet included from Scoop, make sure they use static installer links, ensure the right installer types are being used, and include as much information possible in the manifests (such as descriptions, tags, cli names ,etc.). I will avoid unsupported or EOL releases.
