Does nmdc-server know about all current MIxS environmetal extensions, which COULD be HARMONIZER_TEMPLATES? #1238

It doesn't seem to be aware of

  • FoodAnimalAndAnimalFeed
  • FoodFarmEnvironment
  • FoodFoodProductionFacility
  • FoodHumanFoods
  • SymbiontAssociated
  • WastewaterSludge

I can understand that we may never use those, but I would like to identify a good place to keep track of them. HARMONIZER_TEMPLATES is pretty good, except that it isn't exhaustive and the names it uses aren't the same as the MIxS native names.

Maybe I'm responsible for that in terms of how the submission schema was designed.

Can anybody suggest a method for keeping all of this aligned and up-to-date? We could do it in any repo and I'm willing to help.

MIxS Extensions

Did we import the slots for these extensions? I looked for https://genomicsstandardsconsortium.github.io/mixs/0001315/ in https://microbiomedata.github.io/nmdc-schema/ and it doesn't appear.

That slot is only used in SymbiontAssociated so I don't think we imported these.
Which is why I didn't think NMDC was using v6 of MIxS?
