Help for Login Page

Normally when you come to the Materials Commons site, you will be presented with a page that has a 'button' labeled LOGIN/REGISTER in the upper right corner
Clicking on this button with bring forward the 'login and registration' popup panel.
To log in, enter the e-mail address associated with your account (your "user id"), enter your password, and click the LOGIN button in the lower right corner of the panel. (Or CANCEL.) At this point, you will be logged in, and the upper right corner of the page will change to reflect your user name. That indicates that you are logged in. You can now click on the "Projects" link in the upper left corner of the page to be taken to the Materials Commons Projects Page
If you do not have an account, you can register for a new account. Open the "login and register" panel by clicking on the button labeled LOGIN/REGISTER in the upper right corner

Click on the "Join now" link on the panel and you will be taken to the registration page, below. There you enter your first name, last name, and e-mail address. Then click on the Create Account button. If you do not wish to create an account at this time, cancel. Note, that your e-mail address is your user id.
Clicking the Create Account buttons will send you an e-mail message at the account that you entered and pop up this panel. Follow the instructions therein.
The email message will contain a link-button returning you the site at this Set-Password page.
Enter your desired password (must be at least 6 characters long), and click the Finish... link. You will be taken to the Materials Commons Projects Page
If you have forgotten your password, or need to reset it for any reason, again use the "login and register" panel (see instructions for Registration, above), then click on the "Reset it" link. This will take you to the login reset page, below. In this form, you enter your account's e-mail (e.g. your login) and click the "Reset Password" button. (Or you can cancel). When you click on the reset button, you will receive an e-mail with a verification link, exactly as in the registration process: click on the link in the e-mail and follow the instructions to set (reset) your password and log in.
Currently, there is no way for you to delete your account. If you need your account deleted, please contact [email protected].
