The help pages are divided into four major sections:

  • Help for the Public Data Pages; the "home page" of the Materials Commons site.
  • Help on the Login Page and the processes of logging in, registering for an account, and resetting your password.
  • Help for the Project Pages, the Projects Index Page for creating a new project, searching among projects and opening a project. And the Project Summary Page for changing project status, creating a new experiment, and selecting an existing experiment.
  • Help for the Experiment Page: actions that you can take within the experiment display (page and panels) that effect the Experiment or its parts: Details, Tasks, Notes, Datasets, Samples, Files, and Workflow.

A general comment about saving changes in the UI for this site: if you do not see a save or enter button, then the changes are saved automatically as you type. So, in general, type or click the checkbox or radio button and the changes are saved as indicated by the UI.
