Update Firmware

The minimOSD does not have an USB port.

This means, that you need a USB to UART converter ("FTDI converter").

They can be found all over the internet. When you buy one, make sure that the pinning is "compatible" with the minimODS. This make the life easier.

Note: Some "generall 3$" adapters do not have the DTS pin connected, that is required to "reset" the Adruino on update. Look closer, or you have to solder the missing wire, what is even harder, than the upcomming patch on the Arduino board.

I also found the the "cheap" china minimOSD clones does not have a bootloader. That is the reason why most of than "... does not accept updates".

When you buy "cheap", be prepared to have a Atmel (ISP) programmer to bring the Arduino Bootloader to the board.

It simple when you know how to do it... If you have not Idea, what I am talking about: Spend more on the OSD board (10-20$). Make sure it HAS a Adruino bootloader.
