I'm using a patch to put my site in maintenance mode. To do it I can simply run:

kustomize edit add patch patches/maintenance.yaml

If I want to disable maintenance mode I have to manually remove the patch from kustomization.yaml or use sed which is more error prone. Could we add a command for removing patches (and possibly resources too)?

Using kustomize 1.0.11.

@rvodden: GitHub didn't allow me to assign the following users: rvodden.

Note that only kubernetes-sigs members and repo collaborators can be assigned and that issues/PRs can only have 10 assignees at the same time.
For more information please see the contributor guide

In response to this:

/assign rvodden
