Using Props
Various props used by actors in cutscenes and by players as part of emotes are available for use as stand-ins for weapons in the Equipment section. You can easy equip these by selecting your Main or Off Hand and selecting Props from the dropdown menu in the Weapon flyout.
From here, they can be manipulated in the same manner as regular weapons.
The list of props is manually maintained, and some props may not appear in the list. If you know the ID number for a prop that hasn't been added, please let the team know on Discord.
Modding minions is a popular method of adding custom props into the game for screenshooting purposes. To load these props you simply need to ensure you have installed the mod via TexTools*, then summon that minion in-game. From there you can translate them as you would any regular actor.
Minions retain their in-game restrictions regardless of whether they're modded or not. You cannot load one minion appearance onto a different minion. If you don't own the minion that the mod is applied to, you must use a separate actor. Please see Using Other Entities as Extra Actors for more information. Game crashes caused by not heeding this advice will not receive help as they will be considered user error.
*As TexTools is not associated with Anamnesis, we won't provide instructions here.
Fashion Accessories can be changed using the Fashion Accessory option in the Sub Actors section of the Actor tab. In order to use a Fashion Accessory you must first equip an existing Fashion Accessory (if you don't have one, many Parasols are available at relatively low prices from the Market Board).
Please note that you cannot manipulate a minion and a Fashion Accessory at the same time without applying one to an additional actor due to game limitations. Additionally, any Summoner/Scholar pets you have summoned will despawn. For instructions on facilitating this, please see Using Other Entities as Extra Actors.
