Welcome

The welcome page is the first thing that you will see when you open INAV Configurator. This page gives us a good place to explain the basic operation of the Configurator and it's layout.

001 Welcome

Top bar

Across the top of the window, you have a thick grey bar. On the left you have the INAV logo. Below that, there is some useful information, especially as reference if you are asking for help. These are the version numbers of the Configurator (top) and firmware on the flight controller (bottom). The firmware version of the flight controller is only shown when Configurator is connected to a flight controller. [ADDED INAV 6.0] To the right of the firmware version, the target name is also shown.

On the right side of the top bar; what is shown can change depending on if you are connected to a flight controller or not. Two things that are always visible are the Connect/Disconnect button and the settings button (the small gears). When not connected to the flight controller, you see communications options to the left of the connect button. When connected, you see profile switching options, and an info panel for sensors and the state of the flight controller. But we'll cover that later.

The last part of the top bar, is a thinner, dark grey bar. This console shows log messages from the INAV Configurator. These can be information, such as letting you know settings have been saved. Errors can also be shown here. You can expand the log by clicking Show log on the right side.

Tabs

On the left on the window is a vertical list of tabs. This is the main navigation for the INAV Configurator. Again, what is shown here can change depending on if you are connected to a flight controller or not. In the image above, we are not connected to a flight controller. The options we see are:

  • Welcome
  • Documentation & Support
  • Mission Control
  • Firmware Flasher

Welcome is highlighted in light blue, as this is the page we are currently viewing.

Pages

The large area to the right of the tabs shows the pages. The page shown will be the currently selected tab. You can see this is showing the welcome page in our example image. The welcome page contains some useful information relating to INAV and the Configurator. There are also tips for how to fix problems connecting to a flight controller.
