ATD Persona Overview
The below information is outdated. We have altered our strategy to take a more exploratory approach to our research.
Access the Data ideally wants to help people access open data to help strengthen community centered work. Ideally, we imagine elevating community focused people's knowledge about accessing and using data to the level that data savvy people have.
ATD has determined 3 main potential personas that we are aiming to build for based on community interest and data literacy level.
- Data Expert: Someone who has a high level of data literacy but may or may not apply their data skills in a community context.
Community Activist: Someone who is active in their community but may or may not be data literateData Amateur/Enthusiast: Someone who knows something about data and is interested in learning more and may or may not want to apply their data skills in a community context.
The visualization below shows how these 3 personas fit with each other on the axis data literacy level and community involvement level.
- See Research Plan: Data Enthusiast Persona (Survey) #154 for thought process
ATD has identified Data Expert and Community Activist Personas to be our primary personas and have created and executed research plans for them. Below you can find links to the research being done for each persona.
