tree-gen is a plugin for blender which implements an augmented version of the parametric approach for tree model generation proposed by Weber and Penn in 1995.
The plugin includes a number of presets as well as providing the ability to completely customise the generation process through the plugin UI. Custom tree parameters can be saved and loaded, and a number of useful utilities to process the generated models are also included.
To install just place the ch_trees folder into the blender plugins directory, restart blender and enable the plugin in the blender application User Preferences.
The parameter customiser provides the ability to customise all parameters, though can look a little daunting:
