Summary

What we are after:
As a committee that might get audited, it helps to know the latest procedures for audits.

The Commission passed new audit procedures on 5/4/2023 and there are some documents that we will need to publish to the website and link in the right places: Two Federal Register notices and two Directives.

Completion criteria

• Federal Register notices uploaded, following naming convention. Download them from https://www.federalregister.gov/agencies/federal-election-commission on Friday, May 12 and upload into the Policy statements collection in Wagtail CMS.
• Directives uploaded into CMS, replacing former Directives 69 and 70. (Be sure to use same file name. OCS should send these once finalized. Rename with same name as before and put them into the Directives collection. These are replacement files; will need to upload twice to avoid weird characters).
• Audit procedures (2023) text boxes and buttons moved from "Proposals" to "Rules of agency organization, procedure or practice" on Policy and other guidance page
• FR notices and Directives linked in above part of Policy page
• Links to the two directives on https://www.fec.gov/about/leadership-and-structure/#commission-directives-and-policy point to the new document.
• FR notice for RAD Legal Question policy linked under policy statements, “Program for requesting consideration of legal questions by the Commission (2011; Revised 2013, 2016 and 2019)” and on Legal consideration page: https://www.fec.gov/legal-resources/policy-other-guidance/requests-legal-consideration/
• OGC and OCS notified about FR notices with cc to Press Office and Paul Stoetzer
• OGC, OCS and Staff Director notified about Directives with cc to Press Officer

FR notices were published this morning and the appropriate contacts have been notified.
