Let's pick sub topics for this special and coordinate to get the sections together into the post.

Idea List

Introduction for the whole piece 🔒 @MinThaMie

  • Some cool intro of the special
  • Ask Yehuda or Jen what they’re excited about in regards to Octane. Get quotes / interview into a section
  • Link to the blog post

Edition Highlights (optional) (🔒 @ijlee2 )

  • Description of the edition concept: What is an edition? How does it differ from a version release? What's the motivation behind having an edition versus a feature release?
  • outline top-level edition features with related links to Guides / official announcement blog post "Octane is here"
  • description of the motivation behind these features overall: Why do Octane features improve developer experience and make building Ember apps more fun?

Community Feedback (optional) (🔒 @jaredgalanis)

  • focus on Outdoorsy using Octane in large scale production app
  • Gather tweets / reddit / HN / etc. comments by devs who have been using Octane
  • outline some of the main points mentioned in the community feedback and how it aligns with the motivation behind creating Octane

How to migrate to Octane (🔒 @chrisrng - im happy to have help ping me on discord)

  • Highlight the opt-in method for Octane. Migrate in your own time step by step. It might be not clear upfront that people can migrate components incrementally
  • how to migrate and which tools and guides to use.
  • Migration Guide available that can be linked to.
  • Maybe talk to someone who already migrated their app (side project vs work project) and mention that as an interview / quote in the section

Learning Resources (🔏 @jessica-jordan)

You may ping @jenweber for content reviews or getting connections to potential interviewees

More ideas

When y'all decide on the date this issue would be, plz let me know, so I can shoot for that live stream or video recording around then 👍
I could contribute Vue -> Octane info on this; @NullVoxPopuli proposed this a while back and I never got around to it.

EmberConf

  • Promote EmberConf with the cool Octane talks (🔒 @MinThaMie)
