DELPH-IN at DFKI Language Technology Lab

DFKI Language Technology Lab is a research team directed by Hans Uszkoreit at DFKI (German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence) in Saarbrücken, Germany. The approximately 25 members of the team closely cooperate with DelphinSaarland (Department of Computational Linguistics and Phonetics at Saarland University).

DFKI LT is working on various topics in language technology, including HPSG Grammar development for German and Japanese.

Software contributions to Delph-In include the further development and extensions to PET and the Heart of Gold middleware for the integration of deep and shallow natural language processing components including adapters to various components such as PET, TnT, ChaSen and SProUT.

The grammars and technologies are and have been applied and extended in various research projects such as WHITEBOARD, DeepThought, and QUETAL.
