Problem

The Search help page's combining terms section needs a better distinction between different statements and examples.

This issue is probably blocked on the core design improvements (removing TW typography, syncing the text spacings/sizes)

There's a question around whether the description counts as "help text", which in the block editor we show in a gray color and smaller font size. It probably doesn't count, which would mean contrast needs to be achieved in a couple of other ways. Could be:

  • More spacing between examples
  • Font weight change for first line, maybe "Example" is semi-bold same as the italic text.

One person from the Polyglots team shared some suggestions via our Slack channel:

Hi Openverse Team!
I'm Lidia from the Italian Polyglots team.
May I ask what you think about a possible simplification of the "Openverse Syntax Guide" page with a less mathematical text?
Here is what I have in mind, but not being a native English speaker is just to give the idea, NOT to propose it as the new text.

And, if it also makes sense to you, perhaps the title of the menu item could be changed from "Search help" to "Advanced search"?

Update: more suggestions at #880 & #881.
