Thanks George!
Something not related to this PR but wanted to note since you've worked on this before. After looking a bit a this code the const MAX_MOST_USED_TERMS
confused me a bit along with the check below: showTerms: mostUsedTerms?.length >= MAX_MOST_USED_TERMS,
Since we want to show this only when we have 10
tags, it seems that MAX_MOST_USED_TERMS
should be renamed to MIN_MOST_USED_TERMS
and the check should be showTerms: mostUsedTerms?.length === MIN_MOST_USED_TERMS
. mostUsedTerms
should be at most the var as we set it as value for per_page
.
Thanks for the review, @ntsekouras. I agree about the constant name and good catch. If we do check like this We want to display this area when a user has more than 10 tags that have posts assigned. |
Same value in check, is used in query of tags too, so even if the user has more tags, the query will return |
Adding backport to minor release label on this PR. It is a minor change, but without it "Most Used Terms" component doesn't function as expected. |
Don't include terms that aren't assigned to any posts as "most used" terms.

Description
The most used terms query shouldn't fetch terms not assigned to any post. A term with no post can't be the most used term.
How has this been tested?
Tested on site where a few tags are assigned to posts.
wp term generate post_tag --count=15
Types of changes
Bugfix
