Depending on the network configuration you can:
- register for an account by yourself
- register if invited by an existing user
- register if invited by the administrator
- Enter the URL:
https://ocelot.social/registration
(replace _ocelot.social by the actual domain). - Follow the instructions and agree to the terms and conditions of the network operator.
- An activation code will be sent to you by e-mail by which you can activate your account.
- Click the invitation link that you received - or visit
https://ocelot.social/registration
(replace ocelot.social by the actual domain) and follow the instructions.
You can change your e-mail address, password and display name and unique username in your account settings.
On the top bar click on your profile image (or the initials if there is no image) and select Settings
. The settings are split into the following sections:
This is where you you can edit:
- your profile name *1)
- your user name *1)
- your location (optional) *2)
- additional information (optional)
*1): The profile name helps to identify a user in posts, comments and notifications. It consists of at least three characters. On the other hand, the user name is a unique identifier within the network that can be used in posts and comments to mention and notify other users. In can consist of lower case letters, numbers, hyphens and underlines only. It is part of the address (URL) of the user's profile page.
*2): By adding your location you make it easier for users to connect with you. You can either publish your city and your state, your country or nothing at all. For better privacy only publish your state or your nation or no location at all. Your location will be shown on the map.
This is where you can change your e-mail address.

This is where you can define if the posts that you shouted should be disclosed on your profile page to other registered users. More information.
This is where you can add links to your profile page of your social networks or websites.
The users you muted are listed here and you can unmute them if needed.
The users you blocked are listed here and you can unblock them if needed.
Here you can select if content by third party providers such as Facebook, YouTube, etc. should be embedded in posts and comments or not. The default setting No thanks
means more privacy for you since those providers get your data only once you click on the content.
This is where you can delete your user account.
- Login to the network.
- In the page header click on your profile image and select
Settings
. - Click
Delete data
. - If you like to delete your posts and comments please select those options. If you let them stay in the network they will get the user name Anonymous.
- Enter the mentioned character string into the input field.
- Click
Delete data
.
