Satellite Network Update on June 1, 2020
Please follow the update instructions below based on the type of receiver you are using.
SDR users worldwide must update the CLI:
sudo pip3 install blocksat-cli --upgrade
SDR users specifically within G18 coverage must also run the configuration helper again:
blocksat-cli cfg
TBS5927 users receiving from G18 must update the CLI and run the configuration helper again:
sudo pip3 install blocksat-cli --upgrade
blocksat-cli cfg
No further action is required for TBS5927 users in other locations. Users may optionally upgrade the CLI to fetch the latest changes:
sudo pip3 install blocksat-cli --upgrade
S400 users covered by G18 must update the RF configurations on the web UI. For instructions to access the web UI, see the S400 guide.
On page Interfaces > RF1, change the following:
- Symbol rate: change from 0.8 MBaud to 1.0 MBaud.
- Carrier freq.: change from 12016.28 to 12016.4 MHz.
No further action is required for S400 users in other locations. Users may optionally upgrade the CLI to fetch the latest changes:
sudo pip3 install blocksat-cli --upgrade
