Old Glew Presentations
Although I flatter myself and believe that a comp.arch wiki, such as my MediaWiki at DreamHost that I hope to resuscitate here at get of is of some value... It has been quite a few years since I maintained a comp.arch wiki, and in that time I have had occasional request for some of my old presentations. Particularly the MLP and dynamic GPUs/coherent threading presentations.
Up to June 2023 I kept these on my Google Drive account. However, Google Drive/Docs/... is NOT a good place to keep public accessible documents for long term. Google Docs regularly has security updates, which break the URLs published. Google Docs does not really have a concept of a filename or permanent link.
Hence, I have moved some of these presentations to this GitHub repository.
I hope to provide wiki pages discussing the issues of these presentations in more detail
Note: some of these presentations by me were saved and placed on the web by others. Sometimes as class reference material, sometimes just because they were nice people (thanks!). TBD: provide these links. TBD: provide way back machine links
BTW: I don't mean to suggest there is any great value in my presentations. Except that at least 1 of them introduced a concept, MLP, that other researchers have found useful. I have been asked for copies of these presentations on and off, especially when Google Docs has made them inaccessible. For the most part, academics have cited the 1st formally published papers on these topics; rarely have academics cited my work directly.
Also: having these old presentations available on this wiki/repository encourages me to add more up-to-date wiki pages. If only to correct things from these old presentations.
