Taskbar icon broken with unread messages #1364
Comments
@zulipbot claim |
Hello @Aitchessbee! Thanks for your interest in Zulip! You have attempted to claim an issue without the label "help wanted". You can only claim and submit pull requests for issues with the help wanted label. If this is your first time here, we recommend reading our guide for new contributors before getting started. |
What should be displayed? Are you saying there should be a notification badge or that there should be an entirely different icon? |
Notification badge on top of the zulip icon, e.g. a nymber 2 inside a blue disk. If you look at the screenshot it's attempting to do that, but it's too big and replicated 3 times with different x offset |
I think the PR #1365 should fix this, but just wanted to add that I've had this problem for a while (Fedora 39+40 KDE Plasma, Wayland, 125% display scaling), and I switched from AppImage to Flatpak to see if it helped and the problem persists. Zulip icon shows fine with no unread messages, but looks like this with an unread message: I mean, technically it still works as a way of letting me know that there's unread messages, but hope to see it fixed in an upcoming release 😅 |
