The stable channel has been updated to 59.0.3071.104 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. This will roll out over the coming days/weeks.

Security Fixes and Rewards

Note: Access to bug details and links may be kept restricted until a majority of users are updated with a fix. We will also retain restrictions if the bug exists in a third party library that other projects similarly depend on, but haven’t yet fixed.

Stable Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Stable channel has been updated to 59.0.3071.91, 59.0.3071.92 (Platform version: 9460.60.0, 9460.60.2) for all Chrome OS devices except the Google Chromebook Pixel (2015). This build contains a number of bug fixes, security updates, and feature enhancements. Systems will be receiving updates over the next several days.
Some highlights of these changes are:
  • Chrome apps running in kiosk mode can access Networking APIs for kiosk network management and Audio APIs
  • Chrome OS Native Printing

Chrome for Android Update

Good news, everyone!  Chrome 59 (59.0.3071.92) for Android has been released and will be available on Google Play over the course of the next week.  This release contains performance and stability fixes, as well as a new feature:

  • Load pages faster and use less memory with an updated JavaScript engine
A list of the changes in this build is available in the Git log.

Stable Channel Update for Desktop

The Chrome team is delighted to announce the promotion of Chrome 59 to the stable channel for Windows, Mac and Linux. This will roll out over the coming days/weeks.

Chrome 59.0.3071.86 contains a number of fixes and improvements -- a list of changes is available in the log.  Watch out for upcoming Chrome and Chromium blog posts about new features and big efforts delivered in 59.

Chrome Settings has updated to Material Design with a slick new look with the same ease of use and functionality. Check it out!
