Chrome Beta for Android Update

Ladies and gentlemen, behold!  Chrome Beta 58 (58.0.3029.21) for Android has been released and will be available in Google Play over the next few hours.  A partial list of the changes in this build is available in the Git log.  Details on new features will soon be available on the Chromium blog, and developers should check out our updates related to the web platform here.

Chrome for Android Update

Good news, everyone!  Chrome 57 (57.0.2987.108) for Android has been released and will be available on Google Play over the course of the next week.  This release contains performance and stability fixes, as well as a few new features:

  • Useful actions like “Find in page” are available in apps that open web pages using Chrome
  • More frequently updated article suggestions on the New Tab page
  • Use recently visited search engines as your default search engine
  • See Physical Web suggestions, based on your surroundings, in the address bar
