Every dataset is organised as a Cube Project. One set of input data might need the creation of multiple Cube Projects to be properly published. All aspects and metadata can be changed for each cube.

Create a new Cube Project

To create a new Cube Project select New Project from the main page after login.

There are currently three methods of starting a new project:

  1. CSV Files The most common path is to import your data as CSV files.
  2. Existing Cube If there are other systems or your own script directly writing a RDF Cube you can import it from your SPARQL endpoint.
  3. Exported Project If you have an exported Project from a Cube Creator instance you can import it here.

Project Name: Please be specific with your project name to make it easily distinguishable from other projects.

Organization: Inform yourself ([email protected]) which is the correct organization profile needed for your dataset to publish to the correct data base and namespace.

Cube Identifier: You need provide a unique name for the cube project, which will internally used as identifier and used inside the published data.

Change Cube Project Metadata

Once you created the project, or choose it from the project list, you can access the metadata through the gear icon on the top left of the project.

Actions on a Cube Project

For detailed information about the different actions and flags, see the Clarification about flags (Expired) and actions (Unlist, Delete).

Deleting a Cube Project

Once you delete a Cube Project, the create metadata and the uploaded CSV files are not anymore available.

Please note, that deleting a Cube Project in the Cube Creator does not delete the published cubes. In contrary, it will not be easily possible to unlist or delete a cube create by the Cube Creator once the project is deleted.

Exporting a Cube Project

It is possible to export a Cube Project from one Cube Creator instance and import it to the next one. The export only includes the mapping, metadata and links to shared dimensions. The CSV files itself must be uploaded manually again at import time.

Also it is necessary to make sure that the same shared dimensions are available in the new instance.
