About branches and tags

- The master branch has the latest stable changes. It also has the same code as the latest released package.
- Numbered branches such 3.7, 3.6... are unstable branches (they are not necessarily broken, but you have no warranty about it)
- All our tags such as v3.7.1-7.2.1 are stable if they are used with the right versions (Wazuh, Splunk). Each tag provides the code for all our packages, this means that our tag v3.7.1-7.2.1 has the same code as our package for Wazuh 3.7.1 and Splunk 7.2.1.
- Tags are frozen, so it's possible that an old tag has known bugs that are fixed in newer tags.
- Take a look at our branches, they are named using the Wazuh version prefix (Eg: 3.7).
- We always have a branch pointing to the latest version of Wazuh.
You should use our latest branch for contributing.
