We have a few options for where to include definitions only used in level AAA criteria. Right now we have a Glossary Items Used only in AAA Success Criteria section. Consider the following options:

  1. Keep these definitions in this separate section and add subsections to indicate which ones apply to all technologies and which ones have specific guidance. The heading structure would be something like:
    • Glossary Items Used only in AAA Success Criteria
      • Level AAA-Only Glossary Items That Apply to All Technologies
      • Level AAA-Only Glossary Items with Specific Guidance
  2. Incorporate the definitions into the existing Glossary Items That Apply to All Technologies and Glossary Items with Specific Guidance
    1. Mark the definition as only being used by Level AAA success criteria
    2. Don't differentiate between definitions used only in Level AAA success criteria

I vote for option 1, https://w3c.github.io/wcag2ict/#glossary-items-used-only-in-aaa-success-criteria ,

For those items currently listed in that section heading / content area , are we not defining per the section title or are we to define?

These terms are mentioned, used in paragraph text, but not specifically defined like other terms.

  • blocks of text
  • context-sensitive help
  • motion animation
  • perimeter
  • region
  • section
  • supplemental content
  • user inactivity
