Many of the examples in the core spec are very poorly rendered. E.g, example-style.png looks like:

with the summation sign much too small (not big as the text says) and the numerator on the RHS not centered.

IIRC the point of this example is to show a different style (font-family & color).

The example plays with the width and color. It doesn't play with the size of the summation nor with fraction alignment. There are many other examples that don't follow the TeX layout rules, something the spec says it is aiming to implement. The examples should show proper layout as per the spec unless there is some overriding reason not to. Is there some reason that is controversial?

I'm just referring to the spec In this example, the MathML formula inherits the CSS color of its parent and uses the font-family specified via the style attribute. so as long as the color is "blue" and the font used is "STIX Two", this example is valid. In general this is not MathML3, the example are non-normative and are only used to illustrate one particular point in the accompanying text, not to serve as a reference rendering. So while I don't see a problem regenerating examples in principle, I don't think it's a big priority at all. (if people start paying too attention to the exact rendering of the examples, I would even say we should remove them...)

There was a mistake in example-style mentioned in the report: it was using "STIX Two" which does not have any MATH table, instead of "STIX Two Math".

I'll open a new issue for regenerating examples.
