  • Added responsive design for resolutions smaller than 720px. Thanks to Luis for bringing it up and remind me! No need to disable fullscreen and background image in order to improve performance; it's already taken care of.
  • Tweaked reply elements for text/image/link so everything should look properly now.
  • Tweaked emojis once again, especially whenever you hover and select them. Brought back transitions as well.
  • Fixed various hover effects showing up where they aren't supposed to.

A year (and a week) ago I've made the style publicly available after it's been used and tested by my friend and I for quite a while. I ended up rewritting most of the old code to further improve upon it and that made it into the first public release. The style went through a number of different changes and I do hope everyone likes how it currently looks and the features that it offers. If you've got a suggestion to further improve it, do let me know.

There are two unescapable issues that's been made by WhatsApp developers:

  1. Obfuscating code on every single release during last year and right now it's such a mess whenever I try to edit it. It used to be very different a year ago; they haven't had a single obfuscated line of CSS but, I suppose, time's changed. Now every single update has the potential to break something or even everything, and all you can do is wait for me to fix it.
  2. Non-transparent background for emotes and that's a really poor decision on their end. There are 2418 emotes that need to be converted, or just the ones that majority of us use, but even then it'd be a terrible implementation. Here is the link so you can see them all. I brought this up because it's been reported by a number of people and there's not much I can do about it.

And finally, the style is close to 15k installs at the moment and it's truly fascinating! I'm very thankful for every single contribution that's been made over the past year; this style wouldn't be possible without your encouragement, comments, and the number of installs over at USo which served as a basic statistic.
