We have several "moving parts" which are making the BZFE:

Bugzilla:

As of today, we are using bugzilla v5.0.3. This should change infrequently but will require deep down analysis each time we want to do an upgrade to make sure that we are not breaking anything we need.

Changes here are likely to have an impact on

• The BZ database
• The BZ configuration (see below)
• The BZ customization (see below)

The Specific BZ configuration that we need:

This is so that we can use BZ as we want to: this can change a bit but shouldn't be that frequent and is not really dependent on the BZ version unless one of the BZ functionality is modified as part of a BZ upgrade.

This might be changed in the early stage as we gather customer feedbacks and improve.

• Changes here have NO impact on the BZ underlying version.
• Changes here will most likely also require us to do changes in the MEFE too.
• Changes here might include some changes in the BZ database.
• Changes here are likely to have an impact on the customization (see below)

The customization:

These are the things that we do on top of BZ to create the BZFE/unee-t dashboard.

This is mostly handled in the /custom and /skin folders.

This will change a lot (several times a week) especially in the early stages when we gather user feedbacks and improve.

• Changes here have NO impact on the BZ underlying version.
• There is NO NEED to touch the MEFE when we do this types of modifications.
• Changes here have NO impact on the BZ configuration
• Changes here have NO impact on the BZ database.
