Notepad++ Now supports direct write without workarounds #1555

You can now enable direct write in notepad++ without the need for the lua script plugin.

It's available in Settings > Preferences > MISC > Use Direct Write.

no. you have to turn it on. but the info that it requires a workaround is outdated.
