name = "my-efs-mount"
subnets = ["subnet-1234abcd", "subnet-5678efgh"]
vpc_id = "vpc-abcd1234"
}
You'll then need to add any EC2 instance wanting to access the EFS mount to the module.efs_mount.ec2_security_group_id
security group and ensure that your EC2 instances mount onto module.efs_mount.file_system_dns_name
(see demo)
The following arguments are supported:
name
- (Required) An identifier for your file system.subnets
- (Required) A list of subnet ids where mount targets will be created.vpc_id
- (Required) The VPC ID the security groups will be.
The following attributes are exported:
file_system_arn
- The ARN of the file system (can be used for back-ups, see demo).file_system_dns_name
- The DNS name of the file system.ec2_security_group_id
- The ID of the security group to apply to EC2 instances.
The demo below creates:
- A VPC with two subnets (see networking module)
- A ssh key pair
- An EFS and two EFS mounts (see efs_mount module) - the EC2 instances mount onto these in their provisioner. It also creates a security group that should be assigned to any EC2 instances wanting to mount onto the EFS.
- Two EC2 instances, one in each subnet (using the above key pair)
- A security group that allows SSH access to do the provisioning
- For backups, a vault, a plan and a resource selection (the created EFS), along with the required IAM policies
