While full-featured Nuvola contains 3 processes (Nuvola service, Nuvola AppRunner and Nuvola Web Worker), the lite version would drop Nuvola service (and related features) in order to be packaged more easily.

Dropped features:

  • Web App selector window
  • HTTP Remote Control
  • Password manager
  • Global keyboard shortcuts
  • Command line API
  • Media keys (may be introduced later)
  • Tray icon
  • Lyrics fetching
  • Last.fm scrobbling
